The Chin Hua Display Cabinet, designed by Raymond Sobota for Century Furniture, reflects the designer’s timeless craftsmanship. Sobota began his collaboration with Century Furniture in 1952 and contributed to the brand for four decades.
This stunning display cabinet features elegant burlwood with ebonized maple details and brass hardware. It includes glass shelves and built-in lighting to beautifully illuminate your items. The upper section boasts glass doors that reveal three spacious glass shelves and overhead lighting for a refined look. The lower cabinet offers additional storage with brass lock accents and open shelving. The middle cabinet includes a large storage compartment with a convenient pull-out drawer, perfect for silverware.
Condition: Given its age, this piece shows natural signs of wear accumulated over the years, which only add to its unique character and history. There is some fading on the ebonized maple, which we have intentionally left untouched to preserve the authenticity of the design. While these imperfections don’t affect its functionality in any way, they enhance the charm and individuality of the piece, making it a true reflection of its time. The glass shelves are free of any cracks with only a couple small chips on the edge of the glass probably from being removed/re-installed over time. The lights are in working condition, and all door and the drawer function perfectly.
