The name Lu and Home comes from a blend of family and home: Lucas, his wife Laney’s childhood nickname “Laney Lu,” and the idea of creating a home filled with meaningful pieces. Not long after the business began, their daughter Lucy made the name feel even more fitting.
Before launching Lu and Home, Lucas and his wife Laney’s home renovation was featured on the TV show Fixer Upper in Waco, Texas. That experience deepened their appreciation for interiors that feel personal, layered, and thoughtfully collected rather than mass-produced.
As Lucas began sourcing furnishings for their own home, he realized how difficult it could be to find pieces that combined craftsmanship, character, quality, and value. What started as a passion for finding exceptional furniture quickly evolved into Lu and Home.
