Crafted by Harden Furniture in New York, this set of six dining chairs showcases the traditional craftsmanship and richly detailed woodwork associated with the historic American furniture maker. Each chair features a tall upholstered back framed by carved wood posts, decorative finials, and a sculpted crest with foliate detailing. The shaped aprons, cabriole-style legs, carved accents, and graceful stretchers add to their substantial traditional profile. The seats and backs are upholstered in a textured fabric woven in warm shades of gold, brown, rust, and subtle green. Manufacturer labeling identifies these as Harden Model 242 hand-carved side chairs.

Condition: Good condition with wear consistent with previous use. The wood frames show scattered scratches, scuffs, small nicks, and areas of finish wear throughout. The upholstery shows light general wear. On one chair, the upholstery along the edge of the back is coming undone with visible fraying and loose threads, as shown in the photos. The remaining five chairs do not exhibit this issue. Overall, the set presents well.
