This vintage circa 1970s–1980s oil painting on canvas depicts an idyllic autumn landscape centered around a rustic watermill and gently flowing stream. Executed entirely by hand, the composition features richly textured, dimensional brushwork with especially expressive impasto throughout the colorful foliage, flowering vegetation, weathered mill building, and reflections across the water. A soft blue-gray sky provides an atmospheric backdrop to the palette of russet, burgundy, terracotta, cream, sage green, and muted yellow, giving the scene a warm seasonal character. The painting is signed by the artist at the lower left, though the signature has not been conclusively identified.
