Dating to approximately the late 19th century, circa 1870s–1890s, this impressive six-light chandelier features substantial forged iron construction with Gothic Revival influence and elaborate hand-worked detailing. The open framework is formed by sweeping scrolls surrounding a central floral medallion, with applied acanthus leaves, dimensional flowers, curled ironwork, and contrasting warm copper-toned accents throughout. Six gracefully extended arms terminate in individual bobeches with candle-style sleeves, while the dark aged iron finish gives the fixture a dramatic Old World presence. The construction and decorative vocabulary closely relate to documented French Gothic and Gothic Revival wrought-iron chandeliers produced during the latter part of the 19th century.

Condition: Good antique condition with visible wear consistent with age and use. The iron exhibits an aged patina with areas of oxidation, surface wear, scratches, and finish loss throughout. The contrasting metal leaf and floral elements show additional patination and variation in color. The candle sleeves have discoloration, wax residue, surface wear, and chipping along some edges. Wear and finish loss are also present around the hanging hardware. These age-related imperfections contribute to the chandelier's antique character.
