Dating to approximately the 2000s–early 2010s, this substantial bench by Davis Furniture Industries features a streamlined modern profile with a long upholstered seat and low rectangular backrest. The upholstery combines a chartreuse green ground with a contrasting blue geometric lattice pattern, adding a bold pop of color to the otherwise minimalist design. A polished chrome-finished metal frame runs cleanly beneath the seat and forms two open rectangular sled-style legs for a crisp architectural look. Made in the USA by Davis Furniture Industries of High Point, North Carolina, the bench was built for the contract furniture market and has an exceptionally sturdy, heavy construction. Its generous scale makes it well suited for a dining area, entry, commercial setting, or as statement seating in a contemporary interior.
