An exceptional antique gilt pier mirror dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1880–1910. Designed in the French Louis XVI and Rococo Revival tradition, the mirror features an elaborate floral crest with a sculptural basket overflowing with flowers and foliage, accented by graceful scrollwork, classical pilasters, floral details, and a warm gilt finish. Its tall architectural form reflects the grand decorative style popular during the late Victorian era, when 18th-century French design experienced a significant revival.
