Dating to the 1980s, this distinctive Maitland-Smith chest cocktail table features richly detailed leather cladding in warm cognac brown and deep black tones. Intricate gilt-tooled borders and repeating decorative motifs accent the leather throughout, while the dark lower panels feature an embossed finish for added depth and texture. The hinged top opens to reveal a spacious finished wood interior, making the piece as functional for storage as it is decorative. Elaborately carved lion-paw feet, brass hardware, and the original Maitland-Smith plaque complete the design.
