The wingback chairs created by Thomas Chippendale in the 18th century were defined by their camel backs, oversized wings and scrolling arms. Our take retains all the beautiful elements of the originals, creating an armchair that’s destined to become an heirloom.
Construction-- Roll arms. Legs are a fixed part of the frame and are finished in Espresso. Polyester-wrapped cushions for a firmer feel. No-sag steel sinuous springs provide cushion support. Tight back and seat cushion. Features attractive nailhead accents. Corner-blocked frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery provides exceptional structural integrity. Adjustable levelers provide stability on uneven floors. Quality-- Top-grain leather, aniline-dyed. Leather will lighten and soften with both use and time and develop a rich patina. Leather is a natural product. Variation in color and texture are inherent to each hide; no two pieces are exactly alike.
Condition: The leather on the seat cushion displays some natural markings that are typical of high-quality leather furniture over time and with use. The armrests exhibit a slight lightening, which enhances the leather's natural patina. Overall, the leather is free of cuts or other significant imperfections. The legs show no discernible markings or signs of wear.
